The Munich restaurant “Le Faubourg” embodies l’art de vivre à la française in a very special way.

Dominique Bas dit Nugues, Chef de Cuisine, offers French cuisine and hospitality at the highest level.

In addition, he also wants to give his guests an understanding of French culture and had the idea of bringing together the art of eating and painting.

When he approached me about this, it was of course a special pleasure for me, as a long-time regular guest, to create some paintings for the restaurant area.

It was easier than I thought, because painting and eating have two things in common: Both are art – and both live (also) from visual impressions. Therefore, I used colours and motifs, matching the ambience and the menu….
